What happened to Israel's belief in Jesus after Pentecost?
After Pentecost, Israel was no longer going to believe that Jesus was the Christ. God sent the nation back into the mainstream of humanity, not as evangelists but as a wandering people steeped in spiritual blindness and unbelief. God then began the outcalling of the Body of Christ, the Church Age.
Les explains that shortly before A.D. 70, and after the original day of Pentecost, Israel was no longer going to believe that Jesus was the Christ. God therefore sent them back into the mainstream of humanity, not now to be the evangelists, but simply to be that wandering Jew, a nation steeped in spiritual blindness and unbelief. At that point God began something totally different: the outcalling of the Body of Christ, which is called the Church Age. Les notes this is a Pauline revelation, preparing the world for the next event, the rapture or outcalling of the Church. Since it is Pauline, it has nothing to do with Old Testament prophecy or the nation of Israel, and must be taken out of the way before God picks up with Israel for the final seven years, divided 3½ and 3½, and the appearance of the Antichrist.
