Why can't believers live victoriously in the flesh without the Pneuma Hagion?

Victorious living in the flesh requires the Pneuma Hagion, the power from on high exercised through the person of the Holy Spirit. It provides what is needed to confront the old nature and its desires, so by faith one draws on Him instead of forcing oneself to be a law keeper.

Les explains that the Holy Spirit is the person, but the Pneuma Hagion is the power from on high that is exercised through the person of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit gives believers what they need to confront the old nature and His desires, and to live victoriously in the flesh, they cannot do it without this power. This has to be understood by faith: the believer says, "Lord, I have the Holy Spirit. I can draw on Him, and I don't have to force myself to be a law keeper." Then it comes naturally to let the Spirit run the race for us. In contrast, those who are after the flesh still live in the realm of old Adam, know nothing of God's saving grace, mind the things of the flesh, and seek only to gratify the flesh.
