What does Les point to as evidence of God's approval on his ministry?
He points to the many people who have written and called expressing the joy of salvation, including Sunday school teachers and church officers who for the first time know real salvation. He sees this as God's stamp of approval on the ministry and the source of his confidence.
Les explains that many people have written and called expressing the joy of salvation, and he calls that the stamp of God's approval on the ministry. He notes that Sunday school teachers and church officers, people steeped in their particular backgrounds, write that for the first time in their lives they now know what it is to have real salvation. He reasons that if the Lord were not blessing it, that could never happen. Without such evidence, he says, he would not have much confidence, and he therefore seeks to present the Word as close to the truth as is humanly possible.
