Should we ever give in to legalism?
No. Believers are to stand fast in the liberty provided under grace and never give in to the horrors of legalism. Liberty is not license, but it is the freedom of free men and women under grace. Legalism is to be rejected, not embraced.
Les explains that after showing what grace has done, the believer is told to stand fast in liberty. He warns that liberty is not license, though it is sadly turning into that, but it was never intended to be license. So the free men and women under grace should never give in to the horrors of legalism.
