Abraham was called out of Ur at 2,000 B.C. Approximately 490 years later—about 1,500 B.C.—Moses led Israel out of Egypt and God gave the law. From that giving of the law to the time of Christ at zero was about 1,500 years.

From the giving of the law to Israel until Christ at zero was 1,500 years, during which Israel labored under this yoke of bondage. Les explains that this legalism destroyed their incentive and contributed to their rank unbelief.
