Is there water baptism in Romans chapter 6?

No. Romans chapter 6 contains no water baptism. The baptism referenced is spiritual—being baptized into Christ—not a water ritual. There is no water in Romans chapter 6, and verse 3 parallels Galatians 3:27, where being baptized into Christ has not a drop of water.

Les teaches that Romans chapter 6, like Galatians 3:27, speaks of being baptized into Christ rather than water baptism. In Galatians 3:27 Paul writes, "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ," and Les stresses there is not a drop of water in that verse—it is as dry as a bone. He says the same is true of Romans chapter 6: there is no water in Romans chapter 6. He recalls a guest preacher who preached from Romans 6 and said there was not a drop of water in the third verse; Les initially thought he was way out in left field, but now sees he was 100% right. Verse 3 is basically the same as Galatians chapter 3.
