Does the purpose of the Law apply to Gentiles too?

The purpose of the Law does extend to Gentiles, because it was given to prepare everything for the coming of the Messiah so He could fulfill the work of the Cross. That purpose carries over into the Gentile economy, remaining a valid concept for you and me today.

Les teaches that the Law functioned as a schoolmaster, a hired servant instructed to bring the child to the place where he could step in and work with the Father. That is what the Law was intended to do for Israel: to prepare them, and prepare them, until the Messiah would come and they could be ready. Although the nation largely rejected it, Les explains that this same purpose now comes over into our Gentile economy. It remains a valid concept that the Law was given to prepare everything for the coming of the Messiah, so that He could fulfill the work of the Cross. Yes, He had to die, be buried, and be raised from the dead for our justification. Thus the Law's preparatory purpose applies to Gentiles as well.
