How do the Law, the prophets, and the life of Christ fit together in God's plan?

The Law gives knowledge of sin but cannot justify anyone. God's righteousness is manifested without the Law, yet is witnessed by the Law and prophets. The Law, prophets, and Christ's life build together and all bring us to His death, burial, and resurrection.

Les explains that the Ten Commandments are beautiful and perfect, yet by them is nothing more than the knowledge or understanding of sin; no flesh is justified by the Law, because sin is breaking the Ten Commandments. The righteousness of God, however, is manifested without the Law and has no part in salvation, yet it is witnessed by the Law and the prophets. Paul was not an imposter with a watered-down product; he came with the truth of the Gospel, which the world hates because it wants to work for salvation and take pride in accomplishment. Everything builds on what was before: the Law and the prophets, the life of Christ, and it all brings us to His death, burial, and resurrection.
