How did people from Adam to Abraham come into a right relationship with God?
From Adam through Abraham, people came into a right relationship with God by faith plus sacrifice, not faith alone. They could not approach God without sacrifice. This differs from the Body of Christ, whose members come in by faith plus nothing.
Les teaches that Abraham became the friend of God and received God's righteousness because of his faith, plus nothing. Yet when he asks how people from Adam, Abel, Seth, Noah, and all the way up to Abraham came into a right relationship with God, the answer is faith plus sacrifice.
