When did Paul go to Jerusalem to meet with the apostles and elders?

Paul went up to Jerusalem in about AD 51, some 22 years after Pentecost. He traveled from Antioch, the home base where Gentiles first became interested in the things of God, because the Lord instructed him to meet with the apostles and the elders of the Jewish congregation.

Les explains that this Jerusalem meeting occurred about AD 51, roughly 22 years after Pentecost. By then Paul had already established churches throughout Asia Minor, and the church in Antioch had become the home base. Antioch was where Gentiles first began to be interested in the things of God, and it was there the issue really boiled over. Consequently, the Lord instructed Paul to go up to Jerusalem and meet with the apostles and the elders of the Jewish congregation. Les also notes he refuses to call those Jewish believers Christians because the Bible doesn't.
