How is Paul's ministry related to the teachings of Jesus?

Paul’s ministry is not in opposition to Jesus’ teachings; it is an extension of them. Though it operates differently—not under Law but under Grace—it serves the same God and the same Christ. Paul, as prisoner of Jesus Christ for Gentiles, carries that message forward.

Les rejects the claim of some theologians that Paul founded a Christianity totally opposed to what Jesus taught. The difference is not opposition: it is not under Law but under Grace. In Ephesians 3:1, Paul calls himself the prisoner of Jesus Christ for the Gentiles, showing his ministry carries Jesus’ teachings forward to the Gentiles.
