Les Feldick Bible Study

Did the Church and the Gospel to the whole world begin as soon as Jesus started His ministry?

No. According to this Book, the Church did not begin as soon as Jesus began His ministry, nor did God's grace and the Gospel go out to the whole world then. He ministered only to the nation of Israel for the whole three years, and after His ascension the same format continued for several years.

Les explains that many people think the Church began, and God's grace and the Gospel went out to the whole world, as soon as Jesus began His ministry, but not according to this Book. Jesus commanded the Twelve not to go into the way of the Gentiles, but rather to go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. That was a commandment, and the early Jewish believers never lost sight of it. He ministered only to the nation of Israel for the whole three years, and even after His ascension, when Peter begins at Pentecost, the same format continued for several years. This is reviewed in Acts chapter 11, verse 19.
