How did Paul treat the authority of Peter and the other apostles of Israel?

Paul never denigrated the authority of the apostles of Israel in their position as apostles of Israel. But he would not let them usurp his authority as apostle of the Gentiles, and he did not go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before him.

Les explains that Paul never denigrates their authority so far as their position as apostles of Israel, but he is never going to let them usurp his authority as apostle of the Gentiles. Paul says he did not go up to Jerusalem to them who were apostles before him, but went into Arabia and returned to Damascus. Les connects Arabia to Galatians 4:25, where Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and suggests Paul was delegated to receive a whole new body of truth from the Ascended Lord for the Gentile world.

Galatians 1:17

Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
