What comes after the first 11 chapters of the Bible in the Old Testament timeline?
After the first 11 chapters—covering Adam, the Flood, and the Tower of Babel—the Old Testament timeline moves to the call of Abraham and the appearance of the nation of Israel. Then, 500 years later, it comes to Moses, the Exodus, the Law, and the rest of the Old Testament writers and prophets, all pointing to the First Advent.
Les explains that according to his timeline, once we come past the first 11 chapters—Adam, the Flood, and the Tower of Babel—the next event is the call of Abraham and the appearance of the nation of Israel. Then 500 years after that comes Moses and the Exodus experience, the Law, and then all the rest of the Old Testament writers, the prophets, the Psalms, and everything else. From that point, everything is prophetically looking forward to and promising what we call the First Advent of Christ, His birth at Bethlehem, when He came to the nation of Israel. Les also refers to Psalms chapter 2 as the outline of this Old Testament prophetic program, and notes that Old Testament language calls non-Jews Gentiles, Goyim, heathen, or uncircumcised.
