What did Moses think he could do at the end of his first 40 years in Egypt?

At the end of his first 40 years, after living in Pharaoh’s palace and being second in command in Egypt, Moses thought he could take the children of Israel out of slavery by his own power, pomp, circumstance, wisdom, and leadership.

Les explains that Moses is the prime example in Scripture. At the end of his first 40 years, Moses had lived in Pharaoh’s palace and was the second top man in Egypt. He thought he could take the children of Israel out of slavery because of his own power, pomp, circumstance, wisdom, and leadership. Les connects this to the principle that God cannot use somebody unless they are nothing, as Paul constantly put himself down as nothing.
