Who empowered both Peter's apostleship to the Jews and Paul's apostleship to the Gentiles?

The same Lord Jesus Christ—the same God—empowered both Peter’s apostleship to the Jews and Paul’s apostleship to the Gentiles. The One who wrought effectually in Peter was mighty in Paul toward the Gentiles, showing one divine source for both commissions.

Les explains that the “same” refers to the same Christ, the same God, and the same Lord Jesus. The context says the One who wrought effectually in Peter through the apostleship of the Jew was mighty in Paul toward the Gentiles. The same Lord Jesus commissioned the twelve to go to Israel, and they followed and ministered under Him for three years, carrying it on in Acts. Israel rejected it, and Paul then comes to the front as the apostle of choice.

Galatians 2:8

(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
