What regions lay beyond Corinth where Paul wanted to preach the gospel?

The regions beyond Corinth included Rome, Spain, and Great Britain, and eventually the New World. Paul wanted to preach the gospel in virgin territory beyond where others had labored, rather than building on another man's foundation or boasting in another man's line.

Les teaches that Corinth was about halfway west, and the regions still beyond it were Rome, Spain, and Great Britain, and then as time went by, the New World. Paul's hope was to preach the gospel in regions beyond, not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to his hand. The Twelve had no ministry outside the nation of Israel and seldom went beyond the Jordan River, so Paul's work in pagan Gentile territory was virgin territory. He acted by his authority as an apostle, hoping to be enlarged by the increased faith of the Corinthians.
