Does what was written to the Jew under the Law directly apply to Christians today?

No. What was written to the Jew under the Law does not directly apply to Christians today. The Apostle Paul writes directly to church age believers, while the rest of Scripture is primarily to the Jew. Believers may take profit and make applications from it, but must learn to discern these distinctions.

Les explains that Romans through Hebrews are written directly to the church age believer, whereas all the rest of Scripture is written primarily to the Jew. Though we can take profit from it and make applications from it, what was written to the Jew under the Law does not directly apply to us. He stresses that we have to learn how to discern these things. Les also notes that Paul's writings do not originate with him; they originate with God and Christ Himself in glory.
