How did Paul live his life in relation to Christ?
Paul lived his entire life to follow and please his Savior, counting death as gain. Though he walked in the flesh as an ordinary human, his warfare was spiritual, not physical. He urged believers to follow his example as he followed Christ.
Les explains that Paul was an ordinary human being who got hungry, angry, and faced failures and temptations just like anyone else, yet his whole life was devoted to following and pleasing his Savior. Paul said, "For me to die is gain," but he lived in order to follow and please Christ. He told believers to be followers together of him and to mark those who walk as examples. Though Paul walked in the flesh, his warfare was not after the flesh but in the spiritual realm.
