What second lie did Satan tell Eve in Genesis 3:5?

Satan's second lie was that God knew eating the fruit would open Eve's eyes, making her and Adam as gods. This was false; instead of rising, they fell from their place of dominion. It was a lie piled upon the first lie that they would not surely die.

Les explains that after the first lie—'you shall not surely die'—Satan piles lie on top of lie in Genesis 3:5. The second lie claims God knows that in the day they eat, their eyes shall be opened and they shall be as gods. Les points out this was the opposite: they fell from their place of dominion. This same lie carries through human history and will be used again at the end of the thousand-year reign and in the Tribulation.

Genesis 3:5

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
