What is our gospel based on, according to Paul?

The gospel is based on that which was revealed after Christ's resurrection and ascension. It centers on the crucified and resurrected Christ as the object of our faith, not the Jesus of Nazareth in His earthly ministry, although He is one and the same person.

Les explains that Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, constantly emphasized that Christ no longer dealt only with Israel, but the gospel has now gone to the whole world. He connects this to 2 Corinthians 5:14, where the love of Christ constrains us because one died for all, making us all dead in Adam. Since Adam's fall, every human being inherits the Adamic nature and is spiritually dead. Les stresses that the crucified and resurrected Christ—not the Jesus of Nazareth in His earthly ministry, though the same person—is the object of our faith, and our gospel is based on what was revealed after His resurrection and ascension.
