How many weeks after the tabernacle was raised up did the cloud lift and direct Israel to the promised land?

Seven weeks after the tabernacle was raised up the first time, the cloud lifted and directed the children of Israel all the way to the border of the promised land, the land of milk and honey. This is the setting before the sad events of Numbers chapter 14, where the congregation wept and murmured against Moses and Aaron.

Les explains that he is skipping some material to get into prophecy, moving to Numbers chapter 14. He reminds listeners that seven weeks after the tabernacle was raised up the first time, the cloud lifted and directed the children of Israel up to the border of the promised land, the land of milk and honey. In the meantime, several events occurred: the episode of leprosy with Miriam because of her complaints, which God dealt with but also healed her; and the episode of the quails, when Israel complained about missing the flesh pots of Egypt. Now at Numbers 14, it is a sad state of affairs: the whole congregation lifted up their voice and cried, the people wept that night, and all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, even wishing they had died in Egypt or in the wilderness. Les says to always remember the setting.
