What does it mean that Jesus entered a tabernacle "not of this building"?

This means the tabernacle He entered was not the earthly structure built at Sinai by Jewish craftsmen, but a greater, more perfect, heavenly tabernacle. The term building is better translated creation, so it is not of this creation; it is in heaven, untouched by human hands.

Les teaches that the tabernacle built at Sinai was only a pattern of the true floor plan in glory. The tabernacle Jesus entered was greater and more perfect, not made by Jewish craftsmen and untouched by human hands. The word 'building' should better be translated 'creation,' meaning it is not on earth or of this creation but in heaven. Unlike Israel's high priest, who entered yearly with the blood of goats and calves, He entered once by His own blood, obtaining eternal redemption. He entered the holy place—the very presence of God at the mercy seat—and presented His own blood.
