Who caused the Egyptians to give their wealth to the Israelites?

The sovereign God caused the Egyptians to give their wealth to the Israelites. He had this in mind when Israel left Egypt, and the Egyptians willingly gave gold, silver, and materials for the tabernacle. This was not coincidence but divine providence.

Les explains that the Israelites were in the Sinai desert and needed materials for the tabernacle. He points out that when they came out of Egypt, they spoiled Egypt, and the Egyptians just gave everything to them. God had all this in mind, because He had planned for the gold, silver, brass, purple, blue, scarlet, fine linen, goat's hair, ram skins, badger skins (seal skins), oil, spices, and onyx stones needed for the tabernacle and the priestly garments. It was a sovereign God who caused those Egyptians to give of their wealth.

Exodus 12:36

And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
