Les Feldick Bible Study

Can any society survive by going against the Ten Commandments?

No. No society on earth can survive by totally going contrary to the Ten Commandments, because they are basic. God knows what is best for the human race; departing from His commands brings heartache, while human nature is drawn to disobey.

Les teaches that no society on earth can survive by totally going contrary to these Ten Commandments because they are basic. Human nature rebels against God's prohibitions: just as a child told not to go through a door will try it, when God says thou shalt not steal or commit adultery, human nature says, I'm going to try it. Since the Garden of Eden, Satan has been God's greatest adversary. Everything God says is best not to do, Satan says do it; everything God says is best to do, Satan says don't do it, and the world asks why you should obey. Les explains that everything God told the human race for our own good, we tend to go the opposite direction. The heartache in the world comes because people have gone contrary to what God set down as our best, and He knows what's best.
