Is the Grace Age Church a covenant people like Israel?
The Grace Age Church is not a covenant people. Unlike Israel, which was under the Abrahamic, Davidic, Palestinian, and Mosaic covenants made only with that nation, the Grace Age Church is not under any set of covenants. Its members simply have the grace of God and belong to the body of Christ, with Christ as head.
Les teaches that the Grace Age Church is not a covenant people. He stresses that regardless of what denominational handle a person has, we are not under a set of covenants. Israel was the covenant people: Israel had the Abrahamic Covenant, the Davidic Covenant, the Palestinian Covenant, and the Mosaic Covenant. Those were all covenants that God made only with the nation of Israel. By contrast, the Grace Age Church does not have that; it simply has the grace of God, and its members are members of the body of Christ, of which Christ is the head. So the Grace Age Church is not a covenant people like Israel was.
