Why is it hard to believe in the rapture?

Believing in the rapture is hard because it takes great faith to accept that millions of people will suddenly disappear. Scoffers mock such a claim, asking how anyone could believe it. Yet Scripture declares it will happen, and for believers it is an exciting prospect.

Les explains that while he enjoys life, he loves more the thought that maybe today or tonight he will suddenly be in the realms of glory. He admits it takes a lot of faith to believe that there will be a sudden disappearance of millions of people. He understands the scoffer who asks how anyone can believe such stuff, because it does take faith. But for believers it is an exciting prospect that it could happen before this day, year, or century is over, and he says we are getting close. It will happen because the Word declares it. He also notes Paul's teaching that if this body goes back to the earth, in resurrection it will be clothed with a new body like Christ's from heaven.
