Why was Paul at Troas and why was he so unsettled in 2 Corinthians 2:13?

Paul went to Troas after leaving Ephesus under pressure from persecutors, hoping to meet Titus there. He was unsettled because Titus had not arrived, and with no means of communication he had no rest in his spirit, not knowing what had happened to Titus.

Les explains that the apostle had been under great pressure from the persecutors of Ephesus, and he went up to Troas hoping to meet Titus. In 2 Corinthians 2:13 Paul says he had no rest in his spirit because he did not find Titus his brother. There was no communication available, so Titus could not tell Paul he had been unable to come. After waiting a few days and ministering to the people at Troas, Paul finally went on his way, not knowing what had happened to Titus. From there he went up to Philippi in northern Greece, where he became deathly sick and despaired of life itself, which Les sees as satanic forces heaped upon him.

2 Corinthians 2:13

I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
