What does the ministration of the Spirit indicate?
The ministration of the Spirit indicates grace. It is the more glorious ministry that takes the place of the Law, which was written and engraven in stones and was passing away. Since the ministration of death was glorious, the ministration of the Spirit, indicative of grace, is rather glorious.
Paul contrasts the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, with the ministration of the Spirit. The Law can do nothing but condemn, and its glory was to be done away. The veil on Moses' face signified not merely radiance but the passing away of the Law. Les explains that if the gloriousness of the Law fades away, then what takes its place and is even more glorious? Grace. Therefore the ministration of the Spirit is indicative of grace and is rather glorious.
How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
