What did the Lord do while Paul was distressed about Titus?

While Paul was distressed over not finding Titus, the Lord opened a door for him to preach Christ’s gospel at Choas, the ancient Troy. The Lord then came upon Paul with something totally different from what he had thought he would do, creating almost a clash in his thinking.

Les explains that Paul and Titus had agreed to meet in the seaport town of Choas, which was the ancient city of Troy. In that time they could not drop a note in the mail, send a telegraph, or phone. When Paul came to Choas to preach Christ’s gospel, a door was opened unto him of the Lord, but he had no rest in his spirit because he did not find Titus his brother. Paul had no way of knowing what had happened to Titus or why he was not there at the set appointed time. At the very same time Paul was so distressed, Les says, the Lord came upon him with something totally different, contrary to what Paul had thought he was going to do, and the two were almost a clash in the man’s thinking.
