Why did Christianity survive when it was constantly under satanic attack?
Christianity survived solely by the grace of God, not through human effort or institutional strength. Though it was constantly under satanic attack—even Paul saw all in Asia turn away—God preserved it, so believers today still have His Word.
Les explains that Paul had established many churches in Asia, the western half of Turkey, yet later had to say that all in Asia had turned away from him. Les finds that heart-wrenching and says it makes him amazed that, but for the grace of God, Christianity would never have gotten off the ground. It was constantly under satanic attack, and its survival is something to thank the Lord for, because we still have the Word of God. Les adds that even today the fundamentals of Christianity are under constant attack from within Christendom and from without.
