Is resurrection a strictly Christian concept or was it also in the Old Testament?

Resurrection is not taught by other religions, mythologies, or cults; they have reincarnation instead. Yet it is not strictly a New Testament Christian idea, because it is a biblical concept and was certainly part of the Old Testament economy. Scripture presents everything as centering on the resurrection of the dead.

Les explains that no other religion on earth, nor ever has been, has a resurrection of the dead in its theology. Mythologies and cults do not teach it; they have reincarnation, but resurrection is strictly a Christian concept—or better, a biblical concept—because it was certainly also part of the Old Testament economy. He stresses that everything centers on the resurrection of the dead; otherwise, one might as well eat, drink, and be merry. In the same context, Paul affirms by the Corinthians' rejoicing in Christ Jesus, “I die daily,” even though they were carnal Christians, not spiritual, and he teaches the old and new nature.
