Where did God promise that Paul would suffer for His name?
The promise was given in Acts chapter 9, where the Lord told Ananias that He had chosen Paul to go to the Gentiles and that Paul would suffer for His name's sake. God revealed this to Ananias as part of Paul's calling and future ministry.
Les explains that the Lord promised this back in Acts chapter 9, when He told Ananias that He had chosen Paul to go to the Gentiles and that Paul would suffer for His name's sake. Les also points out that Paul was under constant physical pressure and suffering, and says we have no idea how much the Apostle Paul suffered for the sake of the Gospel. As the account indicates, Paul did indeed suffer as promised.
