What has to happen before the thousand-year reign of Christ begins?

Scripture indicates that the resurrection of the just must be completed and the Kingdom must be set up before the thousand-year reign of Christ begins. Then everything is ready for His earthly rule, when He will be King of kings and Lord of lords.

Les explains from First Corinthians 15:23 that the resurrection of the just has been completed, the Kingdom is now set up, and everything is ready for the thousand-year rule and reign of Christ. He emphasizes this reign will be on the earth, not in heaven, and that the thousand years is just an introduction to the eternal state. He also notes that when the Bible speaks of 'the Kingdom,' it refers to this final thousand-year reign of Christ when He will be King of kings and Lord of lords.

1 Corinthians 15:23

But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
