What are the mysteries and who wrote them?

The mysteries are the composite of truth that makes for the church age, revealed by the Lord Jesus Christ to the Apostle Paul. Paul wrote them in his epistles, covering doctrines such as church leadership and the communion service. They were held in the mind of God and made known by revelation.

Les explains that in Ephesians 3:3-4, Paul writes that by revelation the Lord Jesus Himself made known unto him the mystery. Les teaches that these mysteries are that whole composite of truth that makes for the church age, and they all come from the pen of the Apostle Paul. He illustrates this by asking where denominations get instructions for pastors, deacons, and elders—from Timothy, which Paul wrote. Likewise, the communion service comes from 1 Corinthians 11, not directly from Jesus' words at the Last Supper. Les points out that 99% of Christendom practices doctrines they get from Paul, yet often will not give him the time of day. He also notes verse 4, where reading Paul's epistles enables understanding of his knowledge in the mysteries of Christ, and verse 5, that the mystery was held in the mind of God.
