Was Paul married with children before his conversion, and did he lose them when he followed Christ?

The context speculates that Saul of Tarsus was married and had children before his conversion, and that when he followed Christ he had to put that behind and lost it all. This is presented as opinion, not as a definitive scriptural fact.

Les explains that Saul of Tarsus was a religious bigwig who profited greatly in Judaism and probably gained tremendous wealth. From that period, Les thinks Saul must have been married and had children, but when he became sold out to Christ, he had to put all that behind and lost it all. Les connects this to Saul's statement that everything he ever owned he counted but done, possibly in Philippians, because he now had a far higher commission than gaining wealth or taking care of a family. God had something else for him: He separated him from his mother's womb, called him by grace though undeserving, to reveal His Son in him and preach to the Gentiles, the heathen.

Galatians 1:14

And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
