When did God make it plain that Paul would be sent to the Gentiles?
God made it plain when He raised up Saul of Tarsus, as recorded in Acts chapter 9. The scriptural account shows that during the events surrounding Saul's conversion and his escape from Damascus, God revealed that this man would be sent to the Gentiles.
Les teaches that after Peter was still dealing with the nation of Israel in the early chapters of Acts, God raised up Saul of Tarsus and made it plain as day that this man was going to be sent to the Gentiles. Les points out that this is all seen in Acts chapter 9, where Saul is later lowered in a basket over the wall because of threats on his life. In the next program, Les turns to Galatians chapter 1 to bring the account up to date, noting that Paul there reviews what took place after he fled from Damascus.
