Les Feldick Bible Study

Were there any Gentiles Jesus ministered to?

Yes, but only as exceptions: the Roman Centurion and the woman of Canaan. Apart from those, His ministry was confined to the Jews in the land between the Jordan and the Mediterranean, and He told the twelve not to go to Gentiles or Samaritans.

Les explains that Jesus did not minister to Gentiles generally; the Roman Centurion and the woman of Canaan were exceptions. He confined His ministry to the Jews in the small strip of land between the Jordan and the Mediterranean. Jesus told the twelve, “Go not into the way of a Gentile, or into the way of a Samaritan.” Later, Acts 11:19 shows scattered Jewish believers preached the Old Testament Word to none but Jews only. Les notes there was no New Testament written yet, so the only Word of God they had was the Old Testament. He says God had been dealing only with the Jew, with exceptions.
