How many believers were there after Jesus' earthly ministry in the upper room in Acts 1?

There were 120 Jewish believers gathered in the upper room in Acts chapter 1. This small number followed three years of the Lord’s own earthly ministry in Jerusalem and Judea. It shows how few believed compared with the vast multitudes later brought in during the Church Age.

Les explains that after three years of the Lord’s own earthly ministry, there were only 120 Jewish believers accumulated in the upper room in Acts chapter 1. He notes there may have been a few up in Galilee, but in the area of Jerusalem there must not have been any more than these 120. This small number stands in contrast to the millions brought in through the last 1900 years of preaching the Gospel of Grace during the Church Age. Earlier he also notes that the little nation of Israel never had more than probably 10 million people at the most, and only a few of them were true believers.

Acts 1:15
