How many believers were in Jerusalem compared to Galilee after Christ's ministry?
After Christ's earthly ministry, approximately 120 Jewish believers were in Jerusalem and Judea, gathered in the upper room in Acts 1. There may have been a few in Galilee, but Jerusalem had no more than those 120, a strikingly small remnant.
Les explains that during Christ's earthly ministry, at least in the area of Jerusalem and Judea, the believers accumulated in the upper room in Acts chapter 1 numbered 120. He notes it is shocking that after three years of the Lord's own earthly ministry there were only 120 Jewish believers. There may have been a few up in Galilee, but in the area of Jerusalem there must not have been any more than these 120. This small remnant contrasts with the millions who have come in through the last 1900 years of the preaching of the Gospel of Grace.
