How did the Ephesian believers compare to the Corinthian believers?

The Ephesian believers were spiritually above and beyond the carnal believers in Corinth. Paul never found real fault with the Ephesian believers, whereas the Corinthian believers were carnal. He wrote to them as Gentile believers who had been made alive in Christ, contrasting their condition with the Corinthians' carnality.

Les explains that in Ephesians chapter 2, Paul is writing to Gentile believers in the city of Ephesus, believers who were quite a bit above and beyond the carnal believers in Corinth. The Ephesian believers, he never finds real fault with them. Les points out the great "but" or flip side: Paul says, "and you he hath quickened, or made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, wherein in times past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the air, the spirit that now worketh." In other words, they were followers after the God of this world, Satan. So the Ephesian believers were above and beyond the carnal Corinthians, and Paul never found real fault with them.
