What is Les Feldick's purpose in teaching the Bible?

Les explains that the class is not a big church congregation but an informal Bible study. He welcomes both the studio audience and television viewers into that class setting, wanting them to feel as though they are sitting right in the classroom. He says it does not matter whether someone is Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, or whatever; the desire is simply for people to see what the book says, without twisting arms. His stated purpose is not to move people from one group to another, but to reach out and help them understand what the Word of God really says. The Genesis-to-Corinthians programs have been made available by video and print, and he insists this is not a money gimmick.
