Which spiritual gift did Paul tell the Corinthians to seek?
Paul admonished the Corinthians to seek the spiritual gift of prophecy. The context states that he told them to look for this gift because it was far better than some of the other gifts. This instruction is set alongside his emphasis on love, patience, and understanding.
Les explains that Paul, in the spirit of love, admonishes the Corinthians to look for the gift of prophecy, noting that it was far better than some of the other things. This fits with Paul's overall approach of love, patience, and understanding, and not compromising the truth. Les also connects this to the need to avoid offending people when presenting truth.
