How long was the Passover lamb kept before it was killed?

According to Exodus chapter 12, the Passover lamb was to be kept and penned up for three days until the fourteenth day of that month. It was taken from the flock without blemish, a male of the first year, from the sheep or goats.

Les explains from Exodus chapter 12 that God gave Moses and the nation of Israel instructions for the Passover lamb. They were to take it out of the flock without blemish, a male of the first year, either from the sheep or the goats. Then, according to verse 6, they were to keep it and pen it up for three days until the fourteenth day of that month of April. Every household in Israel was to have a Passover lamb at their disposal.

Exodus 12:6

And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
