What does the Christian life boil down to in marriage, parenting, and neighbor relationships?

The Christian life boils down to love—how much believers love others. Love is the foundation of the whole faith, prompting Christ to the cross and saving us through belief, and it is the predominating factor in the believer’s life. In marriage, parenting, and neighbor relationships, everything reduces to how much we love them.

Les explains that love is the very foundation of the whole Christian faith. Love prompted Christ to go to the cross, love prompted Him to save us by simply believing, and love is the predominating factor in the life of the believer. Whether in marriage, with children, or with neighbors, it all boils down to how much we love them. Les also confesses his own shortfall in not loving the unlovely as he should, noting that while we hate the sin, we must love the sinner.
