Is demonism real and active in the world today?
Yes. Demonism is real and active. It was real in Christ's and Paul's time, and it remains rampant in many parts of the world today. In America, strong Christianity has held demonic powers at bay so far, but that influence is coming. Satanic power is intrinsic and real.
Les teaches that demonism is real and not merely superstition. It was real at Christ's time and at Paul's time, and it remains rampant in other areas of the world. In America, people have been blessed not to be too plagued with demonism, but it is coming, and so far Christianity has been strong enough to hold the demon powers at bay. Pagan religion kept people steeped in superstition and afraid of the power of their gods and the demons in the air around them. In Haiti, voodooism is an example: those people know it has intrinsic power, satanic power, but real power. The idolatrous pagans in Corinth were so aware of the power of the demons of the air that they worried demons would enter through meat, so they took meat to pagan priests for a blessing to keep demons off it.
