Who did not know the mystery that Jesus was the Christ?
The princes of this world did not know the mystery that Jesus was the Christ, as Paul writes they would not have crucified Him had they known. Israel also did not know, though the Old Testament was full of Him and they could have known by studying it.
Les teaches from I Corinthians 2:7 that the mystery was the hidden wisdom of God, ordained before the world, namely that Jesus was the Christ. The princes of this world did not know who He was, and had they known, they would never have crucified Him. Israel, too, did not know, though the Old Testament was full of Him and they could have known by simply studying it. Les warns against jumping on the Jew for ignorance, because America has had the Gospel and the Bible in almost every home and library, yet very few know that we are approaching the end time or understand the details God has laid out. Most know nothing of biblical prophecy.
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
