Why are believers laboring together with God—what is the goal of that co-laboring?
Believers labor together with God to bring the body to its completeness, so the Lord can take it unto Himself, and then He will pick up where He left off with His covenant people. They are hooked up with the Creator God Himself as partners, even when carnal.
Les teaches that believers are laborers together with God, and the goal is to bring the body to its completeness, to where the Lord can take it unto Himself, and then yet pick up where He left off with His covenant people after that. He emphasizes what a partner we have, being hooked up with the Creator God Himself, and that even if we are a little carnal, as the Corinthians were, that does not cancel the fact that we are still laborers with God. He shares this to encourage those of us who are not spiritual giants, illustrating with his own experience of feeling discouraged by reading Watchman Nee on true spirituality.
