What did Apollos likely look like and how powerful was his speaking?

Apollos was likely a handsome, well-dressed gentleman whose magnetic outward appearance helped him hold a crowd. He was an eloquent man with a powerful gift of oratory, able to spellbind people by his speech. His speaking was therefore exceptionally persuasive and commanding.

Les explains that Apollos came out of Alexandria in Egypt, an area of intellectual Hebrews and the place where the Septuagint originated. He was an eloquent man, and Les says he had all the outward appearances of someone who was magnetic, someone who could hold a crowd. Les envisions him as probably a handsome gentleman and well dressed, but on top of everything else he had the gift of oratory. He could literally spellbind people with his speech.

Acts 18:24

And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
