Is God actually weak when His ways seem weak to the world?
No. God is not actually weak. Some of His ways appear weak to the world, such as turning the other cheek when wronged, but the weakness of God is stronger than men. What the world calls weakness is actually God's stronger way of doing things.
Les teaches that God is not actually weak, though some of His ways look like weakness to the world. If someone misuses you and strikes you on the cheek, God's way is to turn the other cheek; that appears weak in men's eyes, but in God's way of doing things it is stronger than men. Likewise, God's foolishness is wiser than the greatest philosopher or educator, and His weakness is stronger than men.
1 Corinthians 1:25
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
